A free education programme specifically for aged 6 years and under children with asthma. 'Baxter' is a fluffy bear given to the child with an education kit. The asthma kit is very useful when instructing young children on the use of inhalers and spacers and includes a booklet of information for parents. An asthma education session is part of the programme and we follow-up one month and then again six months later. Health professionals can refer patients for a Baxter Bear session or parents of preschoolers can self-refer by contacting us for an appointment |
